Ingredients
Cabbage Slaw
3 tablespoons peanut butter
1 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon sriracha
1 tablespoon water
4 cups shredded cabbage
Turkey Burgers
1 pound 93% ground turkey
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 whole green onions, chopped
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
2 teaspoons fish sauce
1 lime, juiced
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 whole grain rolls
½ cucumber, sliced thin
Preparation
- Make the slaw by whisking the peanut butter, lime juice, sugar, white vinegar, sriracha, and water in a medium bowl. Then, add the cabbage to the dressing. Mix until combined and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add the turkey burger ingredients to a medium bowl (ground turkey through coriander) and mix until combined. Form 4 burger patties with hands.
- Heat a medium sized pan with olive oil. Place burgers on the heated pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Next, transfer burger patties to a sheet pan and cook in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit with a meat thermometer.
- Once cooked, build your burger with turkey patty on the bun and add slaw.
- Store leftovers in an air-tight container for 3 to 4 days. The burger patty can be frozen for up to three months.
