Stephenie Brinson, FNP-C is a Primary Care Provider and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner treating patients in Garner, North Carolina.
She received her training at UNC-Chapel Hill. A former professor of nursing, she earned a master’s degree in community health from The Pennsylvania State University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from UNC Greensboro.
Stephenie continues her work as an educator by serving as adjunct faculty for UNC-Chapel Hill and East Carolina University. She is also a nurse practitioner student preceptor for Duke School of Nursing and the UNC Wilmington School of Nursing as well as member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She is also active with nurse practitioners across the state, advocating for the advancement of nurse practitioner practice in North Carolina.
Stephenie moved to Wake County in 2000 and started her nurse practitioner career in 2003. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings throughout her career and founded Hope Family Practice of Garner in 2012. She has dedicated the last 10 years of her career caring for patients who are under-insured and without insurance.
Stephenie realizes the benefits of spending more time with her patients, getting to know them, and creating relationships. She believes that working as a team is essential for health prevention and promotion. Stephenie enjoys educating her patients and motivating them toward wellness. Her work has garnered awards and attention for her ability to educate, her attention to chronic heart disease and diabetes, and for her continuing community service. She has special interests in cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and women’s health. Stephenie believes in affordable, quality healthcare.
In her free time, Stephenie enjoys traveling locally and abroad, eating out with friends, watching movies, and spending time with her family, especially her two sons.
