Skye Wilson, LCMHC, is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Avance Primary Care’s Behavioral Health Treatment Center of Excellence in Raleigh, North Carolina.
She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Skye specializes in supporting queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and people of color (QTBIPOC), healers experiencing compassion fatigue, and individuals navigating significant life changes. Her holistic approach to therapy considers how power dynamics, oppression, energetic shifts, and the collective unconscious influence personal well-being.
Her practice is trauma-informed, person-centered, and guided by curiosity, intuition, and principles of humanism and existentialism, all within a social justice framework. Skye integrates evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. She believes in the diversity of healing paths and partners with her clients to discover their own unique journey.
As a first-generation Liberian-American, Skye enjoys creating and listening to music, hiking, traveling, continuous learning, and connecting with loved ones through cooking and sharing meals.
