Patricia Heid, MS, RDN, LDN, PhD, is a Registered Dietitian serving patients at Avance Care Central Raleigh in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Patricia earned her Master of Science in Nutrition from Meredith College. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is pursuing certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Patricia also holds a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature.
Patricia values getting to know her patients to help them set realistic goals and develop personalized plans that suit their unique personalities and lifestyles. Fluent in Spanish, she has taught nutrition classes to Spanish speakers. Patricia enjoys cooking dishes from various ethnic cuisines and working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Residing in Raleigh with her husband, Mark, her daughter, Linnea, and their cat, Wesley, Patricia spends her free time experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She also engages in creative writing and takes ballroom dance lessons. Patricia and her family have a passion for learning about the history and culture of different countries and have traveled internationally together extensively over the past fifteen years.
