Nancy Chen, FNP is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She started her journey in medicine as a Registered Nurse working in critical care followed by outpatient post anesthesia and then in Mohs Surgery/Dermatology. She obtained her nursing degrees from Watts School of Nursing and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. While working in critical care, she saw the importance of returning back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner due to the plethora of the chronic conditions that could have been prevented. While working as a Registered Nurse, she also attended Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, to obtain her Master in Science of Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner degree.
Prior to becoming a Registered Nurse, Nancy attended Meredith College and studied Exercise and Sports Science as she is fascinated by the human body. During her time at Meredith, she also ran Cross Country and worked in the Human Performance Lab. After graduating, Nancy worked in both corporate and commercial wellness for 10 years while studying to become a Registered Nurse. She also continued her interest in running Cross Country by participating in marathons, half-marathons, and mud-runs.
Currently, Nancy loves spending time with her husband, toddler, and three dogs. She is an advocate for individuals with disabilities since her son has Down Syndrome. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and gardening.
