Mary Selenke, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant providing care at Avance Care Clayton in Clayton, North Carolina.
Originally from Colorado, Mary earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She then pursued her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Campbell University. Before starting her master’s program, she gained experience as a medical scribe and patient care coordinator in an emergency department.
During this time, Mary discovered her passion for building personal relationships with her patients, which led her to primary care, where she could focus on more individualized patient connections. She believes in treating the whole person and emphasizes that healthcare starts long before medical interventions are needed. Mary enjoys explaining all aspects of care to her patients and values ensuring they fully understand their treatment.
Outside of work, Mary enjoys exploring North Carolina, spending time with friends and her boyfriend, and staying active in the Catholic community. She looks forward to working collaboratively to provide high-quality communication, education, and care to her patients, while building meaningful relationships within the Clayton community.
Mary is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants. She is fluent in both Vietnamese and English.
