Kelly May, RDN, LDN is a Registered Dietitian serving patients at Avance Care Behavioral Health at the Centers of Excellence in Raleigh, NC.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and completed her supervised practice with Priority Nutrition Care in Boston, Massachusetts.
Kelly specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and has prior experience working as a dietitian in eating disorder treatment centers at inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient levels of care. In her work with patients, she values establishing collaborative relationships with patients and the rest of their treatment team. She practices from a Health at Every Size perspective and uses a non-diet approach. She prioritizes helping clients find ways to incorporate health-promoting behaviors into their lives and find peace in their relationship with food. Kelly also has a special interest in providing gender-affirming nutrition care.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys playing tennis, working on home renovations, and spending time with her dog, Nadine.
