Jane Warstler, DNP, FNP-C, CPN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing care to patients at Avance Care South Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC.
Jane earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where her doctoral research focused on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from UNC Asheville, graduating magna cum laude, and a second Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jane has over five years of experience as a Certified Pediatric Nurse at UNC Children’s Hospital, where she cared for children with acute and complex chronic conditions. During her training, she expanded her clinical expertise through rotations in internal medicine, family primary care, women’s health, and urgent care. Beyond clinical work, Jane has demonstrated a strong commitment to health equity and advocacy. She co-founded Nursing Students Addressing Health Equity at UNC Chapel Hill and held leadership roles within the Student Health Action Coalition’s care management and sexual health teams. During her undergraduate studies, she also helped establish a campus resource center dedicated to supporting women, LGBTQ individuals, and other marginalized communities.
Jane is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care that is personalized to each patient. She is committed to creating a non-judgmental, inclusive environment and values education as a tool to empower patients in their health decisions.
Outside the clinic, Jane enjoys traveling to new places, sipping iced coffee on sunny mornings, staying active in fun and creative ways, reading, catching up on TV series, and spending time with her husband and their beloved rescue dog.
