Daniel Corbin, DNP, FNP-C is a Primary Care Provider and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner serving patients at Avance Primary Care in Garner, North Carolina.
Daniel also received a Doctor of Nursing Practice. He received a Master of Science in Nursing degree and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His doctoral studies focused on the primary care of sexual and gender minorities. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, he obtained an Associate of Applied Science in nursing degree from Pitt Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Winston-Salem State University where he was a Dean’s List graduate. After obtaining his first nursing degree, he worked as a registered nurse at WakeMed for 8 years where he gained nursing experience working with newborns, children, adolescents, and adults.
Daniel believes in forming close relationships with his patients and values diversity as he recognizes the tremendous changes and growth in the Raleigh area over the past several years. He is passionate about improving the health of the entire community through education, prevention, and affordable care, with special interests in the healthcare needs of the Spanish-speaking and the LGBT+ communities. In an effort to provide culturally-competent care, he continually works on his Spanish communication skills through self-study and by interacting with patients and families who speak little to no English.
Daniel was born in Raleigh and has lived in the Triangle area his entire life. He enjoys spending quality time with his three daughters, friends, and Bernedoodle puppy named Penny. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, exploring new cities, spending time with his family and friends, and trying new food, wine, and craft beers.
