Brianna Alvarado, MSN, PNP-BC, is a board-certified Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner seeing pediatric patients at Avance Care Pediatrics in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Brianna earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Childhood Development from Florida State University and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Stony Brook University. She began her career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a Registered Nurse, dedicating herself to the well-being of her youngest patients.
Brianna’s extensive experience in the NICU has deepened her commitment not only to caring for children but also to supporting and educating their families. She believes that empowering families to actively engage in their child’s care is essential to achieving the best outcomes. During visits, Brianna fosters open communication by encouraging both the child and their family members to ask questions and engage in discussions about their child’s health and development. She makes each visit welcoming for her young patients by using age-appropriate play during exams.
As a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, Brianna stays up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices by attending National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners conferences and regularly reviewing current pediatric research. Her ability to communicate in medical Spanish for common childhood illnesses and wellness visits allows her to provide inclusive, high-quality care to a diverse range of families.
Outside of work, Brianna enjoys spending quality time with her husband of over ten years, their two young sons, and their lovable rescue dog, Ellie. She is a passionate Florida State University football fan, enjoys exploring the outdoors, and loves traveling to new places. In her free time, Brianna channels her creativity into crocheting, cake decorating, and creating special moments with family and friends.
