BethAnn Guevara, DNP, FNP-C (pronouns: she/her/hers) has been a nurse since 2001. She graduated from UNC’s School of Nursing in 2001 and worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings: community/migrant health primary care, inpatient high-risk antepartum, newborn nursery, inpatient surgical, and mother/baby. She completed her graduate education at East Carolina University and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2017. Since 2018 BethAnn has worked at a local health department seeing patients in primary care, family planning, and pediatrics.
Clinically and personally BethAnn strives to leave the world a kinder and gentler place than it was when she arrived, and to treat other people the way she would like to be treated. Her clinical interests include primary disease prevention, public health, lactation support, sexual and reproductive health, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive care for folks of all ages. She is also Spanish-English bilingual. It brings her a lot of joy to partner with people in their journey to health and wellness in whatever form that takes.
When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find BethAnn at home with her partner and/or her kids and their three cats, Freddie, Manzi, and Saul. For vitamin D she enjoys being outside near water or on one of the many hiking trails we have in the Triangle area. While at home she loves to watch Cubs baseball or work on reading through her very tall stacks of unread books. Feel free to let her know what you’re reading right now! She is thankful to those that allow her to be part of their care.
