Anna Misior, PA-C is a Primary Care Provider and board-certified Physician Assistant with Avance Primary Care in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Anna completed her undergraduate degree in biology at Mars Hill University. After working in clinical research with special interest in respiratory and cardiovascular disorders, she earned a PhD in Molecular Medicine at Wake Forest University, with work focused on the effects of inflammation in asthma. Subsequently, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during that time secured a Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Fund Fellowship. Missing daily interactions with patients, Anna returned to Wake Forest University and completed a Masters of Medical Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies at Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
She enjoys creating lasting relationships with her patients and helping them in managing their chronic and acute medical conditions. Anna strives to provide her patients with evidence-based medical information so that they can make informed decisions about their treatment options. She has trained in the needs of the LGBTQIA community, including gender-affirming care. She is passionate about providing specialized, comprehensive care to this community and is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
Anna and her husband are from Poland and live in Orange County with their two children and 4 furry friends. She enjoys the outdoors, horseback riding, gardening, and reading.
