Alyssa Hall, LCSW, MSW, is a providing therapy at Avance Care Behavioral Health in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Alyssa holds a Master of Social Work, specializing in youth, child, and family services, from Southern Illinois University, where she graduated in May 2019. During her studies, she also completed a Trauma-Informed Fellowship in the 2018-2019 school year.

With over 10 years of experience, Alyssa has worked with diverse populations across various settings, including emergency homeless shelters, mental health facilities, public schools, private practice, and community mental health centers. Her specialties include working with individuals affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and grief.

Alyssa believes that while everyone’s story is different and unique, the shared thread of life is found in being seen, heard, understood, and in the fundamental need for belonging. She provides a safe, supportive space where clients can engage in education, encouragement, and self-discovery. With a trauma-informed approach, Alyssa helps clients recognize the impact trauma may have on their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships. Her therapeutic focus promotes self-worth, empowerment, compassion, and curiosity as key elements of personal growth and healing.

Understanding that starting therapy can be intimidating, Alyssa approaches counseling as a partnership. She works alongside her clients to create a secure and nonjudgmental environment where they feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions. Alyssa believes that everyone deserves the tools and skills to live a fulfilling life and experience joy.

In her personal time, Alyssa enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her beloved cat, Atlas.
